Flutist/Composer Jamie Baum appears with her Quintet at Dizzy's Club Coca-Cola at Jazz at Lincoln Center's Inaugural Women in Jazz Festival on Wednesday, Sept 28th at 11pm.
On the heels of her critically acclaimed septet recording, Moving Forward, Standing Still (OmniTone), Jamie brings her quintet to Dizzy's Club Coca-Cola on Wednesday, September 28th, at 11pm as part of Jazz at Lincoln Center's month-long Inaugural Women in Jazz Festival sponsored by Diet Coke. Joining Jamie will be long-time band mates Jeff Hirshfield on drums, George Colligan on piano, Ralph Alessi on trumpet and bassist Martin Wind. This marks Jamie's first appearance at Jazz at Lincoln Center, rounding out an exciting evening of music following Jane Ira Bloom at 7:30pm and Cindy Blackman at 9pm.
