INSPIRED BY YOKO ONO'S WISH TREE AT THE BETSY HOTEL

The Lennon Bus, in association with Avid, The Betsy Hotel, and the SAE Institute, has premiered the Digital Wish Tree Project on IFC.com. Filmed over three days in Miami and produced in Avid Media Composer, the piece is inspired by Yoko Ono's Wish Tree at the Betsy Hotel from April 28-May 1, 2011. The Wish Tree, which has been installed in museums and cultural centers around the world, invites the public to write their personal wishes for peace and tie them to a tree branch. The Lennon Bus took this idea one step further by creating a multimedia project compiling the Wish Tree contributions from the Miami community. The film was premiered on May 1 at The Betsy Hotel at the O, Miami Closing Poetry Party, and is now making its worldwide premiere on IFC.com.

The Lennon Bus is a non-profit mobile recording studio and HD production facility that travels the country year-round providing students of all ages with hands on multimedia experiences. Pulling up to conferences such as NAMM and TEDActive, music festivals such as SXSW and Hangout Festival, and touring with artists such as the Black Eyed Peas and The Warped Tour, the Bus offers the public access to the state-of-the-art technology used by the professionals. With the assistance of three on-board engineers, students learn how to write, perform, record, and produce original songs, produce and shoot music videos and documentaries and complete a broadcast quality music video—all in one day. Visit the Lennon Bus YouTube page for more of the Bus' creations.
