The Hank Johnson Trio will perform live at the Lenox Lounge in Harlem on Friday, July 9th, 2004 and on Saturday, July 10th, 2004. There will be three shows 9:00P.M. 10:30 P.M. and 12: 00 Midnight. Hank Johnson on acoustic piano, Gary Smith, on drums and “Cool Mike" Fitzbenjamin on bass. The trio will perform some original music written by composer Stuart H. Tresser, and play some jazz standards. Influenced by Oscar Peterson, Art Tatum, Erroll Garner, Hank Johnson will swing and groove! While not exactly a household name yet, this is one of the greatest jazz pianists unrecognized. Reservations are advised because space is limited. The club is located at 288 Lenox Avenue in Harlem (between 124th and 125th Streets). Be prepared to listen to some fine music! CD's will also be available for sale, and actual sheet music too! Check it out! -30-
