The 25th Annual Boston Jazz Society Barbecue and Festival

The Boston Jazz Society,Inc. celebrates its 25th Annual Barbecue and Festival at Stonehill College, No. Easton, Ma. on Sunday August 5,from 1:00-6:00 p.m. This year's honorees are music legends Harold Layne, Billy Thompson and Eric Jackson,radio broadcast legend. Featured artists will be The Mickey Bass Powerhouse Ensemble with John Hicks, piano, Craig Handy,reeds, and Eric Allen ,drums. Giacomo Gates, Vocalese will perform with Joe Hunt, drums, Marty Ballow,bass and Kent Hewitt,piano. The Michael Herklots Quartet will perform with Walter Smith,BJS Scholarship winner. The BJS is proud to introduce ellipsis with Michael Sempert, electric rhodes, Dan Blake, reeds, Noah Jarrett, bass, Sandy Parakilas,drums and Diego Pinero,percussion.
