The Bern University of Arts unites a variety of artistic disciplines under one roof. It is dedicated to developing transdisciplinary perspectives for teaching and research. The programmes on offer include degree programmes and further education programmes in the fields of Design, Fine Arts, Conservation and Restoration, Music, Opera/Theatre and Literature. The Department of Music of the Bern University of Arts (BUA) also offers Jazz as a field of study and educates Swiss and foreign students to be professional musicians at a high professional level.
