SXSW: Finally, the Music Blitz Begins...

Nothing against group texting apps and Foursquare check-in championships, but SXSW's roots are in music. And in that spirit, the flurry of music-related announcements has finally begun. That includes Songkick, which just announced a slate of partnerships that include the Orchard, FanBridge, Ning, Topspin, Bandcamp, and Soundcloud. The tie-ups will allow users of all of these services to push concert listings and tickets to fans, without complicated API integrations or coding sessions.

But that's just the beginning. MOG is using the very crowded SXSW stage to showcase its integration into the MINI dashboard.

And what else?

Live-focused social networking site SuperGlued has just launched its own app guide to official and non-official SXSW showcases. The iPhone app is here; the Android app is here.

The US Postal Service—the actual postal service, not the band—is announcing its Latin Music Legends Forever stamps at SXSW. The issue is a collaborative effort with Epiphone.

The Orchard is unwrapping its updated and enhanced Artist Builder, which allows easy updates across Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, and a range of other endpoints.

Rdio announced its API and affiliate program in Austin this morning. The API includes most functionality, and the affiliate program includes payouts for the life of a subscriber account.
