Sunday Morning Jazz Cafe: Early Morning Show with Ed Blanco, Sundays from 7 to 9 AM
From “Straight, No Chaser," to the early morning jazz show on Sundays from 7 to 9 am on WDNA 88.9 FM in Miami/South Florida and online at seriousjazz.org. Join host Ed Blanco, resident jazz critic at the station and wake up to a freshly brewed sip of new and contemporary straight ahead jazz every Sunday morning. A regular contributor of CD and concert music reviews for such major jazz music web sites as All About Jazz and eJazzNews, Ed will be playing the great kind of jazz you know and expect to hear as well as providing a taste of new music from many of the newest releases he has reviewed and obtained from some of the best up and coming artists on the jazz scene today.
Former co-host of the “Straight, No Chaser" new music hour with Mark Hayes, previously heard every other Saturday mornings, Ed will continue to bring the same new music programming that made SNC so successful albeit for only a brief time.
