Today, let's look at some videos of singer Dee Dee Bridgewater and trumpeter Irvin Mayfield, who are coming to St. Louis to perform starting Wednesday, March 16 and continuing through Saturday, March 19 at Jazz at the Bistro.

Already well-established as individual artists, Bridgewater and Mayfield joined forces for the first time in 2015 to collaborate on the album Dee Dee's Feathers, which features the two of them with the New Orleans Jazz Orchestra and assorted guest stars playing songs associated with New Orleans.

Up above, you can see a brief “making of" video put together by their label OKeh Records to promote the release of Dee Dee's Feathers.

After the jump, you can see Bridgewater, Mayfield, and their touring band the New Orleans 7 performing “Saint James Infirmary" and “Do You Know What It Means To Miss New Orleans" at a gig last October in Brussels.

Below that, there's a version of “One Fine Thing" recorded at the 2015 Festival Jazz à l'Hospitalet in Narbonne, France, followed by a brief commentary on the song by Bridgewater and Mayfield, and an in-studio performance of “House of the Rising Sun".

In the final video, shot in August of last year at the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles, Bridgewater and Mayfield are interviewed for the museum's video show The Drop, and then are joined by students from the Thelonious Monk Institute of Jazz Ensemble to perform music from Dee Dee's Feathers.

For more about Bridgewater and Mayfield, check out their appearance last August on PBS' Tavis Smiley Show, and the segment about Bridgewater that ran the same month on NPR's “All Things Considered."
