Steve Schankman Gives $50,000 to UMSL Jazz Program

According to a story in this week's St. Louis Business Journal, local music mogul Steve Schankman of Contemporary Productions has pledged a gift of $50,000 to the jazz program at his alma mater, the University of Missouri-St. Louis.

The story says UMSL will use the gift for equipment, scholarships and to support the Greater St. Louis Jazz Festival, which is scheduled for April 16 - 18, 2009 on the UMSL campus. Read the whole article here.
