SNOWSHOE, W.Va. -- Snowshoe Mountain is preparing for another elegant and delicious weekend. The annual Food, Wine and Jazz Festival, which will take place Aug 8-10, has quickly become a classic regional event and one of Snowshoe's most popular summertime gatherings. Now in its 9th year, the Taste of the Mountains attracts some of the top wine providers from around the world, as well as providing delicious food offerings and wonderful live jazz entertainment all weekend.

Now in its second year, the Friday evening Dessert and Champagne reception is a delectable addition to this event. This season the gathering finds a new home in beautiful Soaring Eagle Lodge. One of the resort's most luxurious accommodations, Soaring Eagle provides breathtaking vistas from an elegant setting. After an ideal start to the weekend, guests can study-up on the perfect glass of wine during Saturday afternoon's tasting seminars. Held for both red and white wine, the seminars are a great way for first-time tasters to get the most out of the weekend, or for experienced tasters to brush up on profiles and pairings.
