You can take-in a first-rate jazz doubleheader Sunday, March 11, in Hartford by attending the sizzling jazz brunch at the Mark Twain House and Museum, followed by the red-hot, admission-free jazz matinee series that has been drawing record-breaking turnouts at the downtown Hartford Public Library.

Guitarist/composer Sinan Bakir, Turkey's crown jewel gift to the city of Hartford, leads his trio in the “Sunday Jazz Brunch" series at the Twain House's Murasaki Café, an event curated by Hartford's colorful concert producer/fashion designer Dan Blow. Seatings are at 11:30 a.m. and 1:15 p.m.

Tickets for the music at the Twain house are $35 and include the performance, brunch buffet, soft drinks and hot beverages. Reservations: 860-280-3130.
