From there, the pair may perform in Australia and Japan. While nothing has been confirmed, Simon’s manager Jeff Kramer reportedly told both Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel to clear their schedule from late May to early June. According to Simon’s MySpace page, the Graceland singer only has one solo show scheduled for April 18th at the Fox Theatre in St. Louis, Missouri, while Garfunkel’s website lists five concerts in both March and April but none in May or June.
The pair last reunited for their 2003-’04 Old Friends Tour, which reportedly grossed around $123 million. “Because we do this every 10 or 12 years, this is probably the last time we’re going to do this,” Simon had said then. Following the Beacon, Garfunkel called the crowd’s response “extraordinary.” “I said to the audience, ‘You don’t have a right to expect — and we didn’t expect — that the interest in us would last and you would still care right to today and I’m touched,’” Garfunkel told the BBC following the show.
