LOS ANGELES, CA – Today, Los Angeles-based entertainment company Shout! Factory announced a donation of the profits from website sales of their 4-CD deluxe boxed set Doctors, Professors, Kings & Queens: The Big Ol’ Box Of New Orleans through the end of 2005. In order to aid victims of Hurricane Katrina, profits will be calculated from purchases made via www.shoutfactory.com and donated to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund.
“Our Shout! Factory employees feel a special connection to New Orleans having worked with many New Orleans-based musicians and the very unique and wonderful music originating from that area of the country,” commented Shout! Factory president, Garson Foos. “We unanimously decided donating the profits to our boxed set was a modest yet fitting gesture toward the relief efforts.”
The Doctors, Professors, Kings & Queens: The Big Ol’ Box Of New Orleans deluxe 4-CD box set includes five hours of music including rock, jazz, soul, funk, R&B, Cajun, blues and Klezmer.
