Rochester International Jazz Festival Announces Four More Headliners—Tickets on Sale Today!

Marc Iacona and John Nugent, producers of the Rochester International Jazz Festival, have announced four more shows in the 22nd Edition Festival's ticketed Headliner Series – Smokey Robinson, The Wood Brothers, Rickie Lee Jones, and Thundercat. The Festival takes place in downtown Rochester, NY, from June 20th to 28th. Today's headliners join the already announced Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis show on Saturday, June 21. All shows are at 8 p.m. at Kodak Hall at Eastman Theatre.

Tickets for all four shows announced today go on sale Friday, January 31 at 10 a.m. only at Rochesterjazz.com or by calling (585) 454-2060. Balcony seats also remain for the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis.

Smokey Robinson

Friday, June 20, $153/$133/$113/$83 + service charge – The acclaimed singer-songwriter and GRAMMY Living Legend Award honoree returns to RIJF for the first time since 2009 to play on opening night. Smokey Robinson’s career spans over four decades of hits. He has received numerous awards, including the GRAMMY Living Legend Award, NARAS Lifetime Achievement Award, Honorary Doctorate (Howard University), Kennedy Center Honors, and the National Medal of Arts Award from the President of the United States. He has also been inducted into the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame and the Songwriters’ Hall of Fame. (read more)

The Wood Brothers

For the better part of two decades, they've cemented their reputation as freethinking songwriters, road warriors, and community builders, creating a catalog of diverse music and a loyal audience who've grown alongside them through the years. Rickie Lee Jones

Wednesday, June 25, $73/$63/$53/$33 + service charge – Rickie Lee Jones is an American musician, storyteller and two-time Grammy winner who has been inspiring pop culture for decades, beginning with her star-making self-titled debut, followed by the seminal Pirates. Named the “premiere song-stylist and songwriter of her generation” by The New Yorker, and “The Duchess of Coolsville” by Time magazine, Jones released her Grammy-nominated album Pieces of Treasure in 2023, a reunion with Russ Titelman, who produced her first two records. Thundercat

Thursday, June 26, $113/$103/$83/$63 + service charge – Thundercat, aka Stephen Bruner, is a Grammy-winning funk, soul, progressive R&B, and jazz-fusionbassist and singer-songwriter. In recent years, has completed his transition from virtuoso bassist to bonafide star and cemented his reputation as a wholly unique voice, transcending genre. His 2020 album “It Is What It Is” won Best Progressive R&B Album at the 63rd GRAMMY Awards and featured Ty Dolla $ign, Childish Gambino, Steve Lacy, Lil B, Kamasi Washington, Steve Arrington, BADBADNOTGOOD, Louis Cole, Pedro Martins and Zack Fox. The Rochester International Jazz Festival (RIJF) is one of the world’s leading jazz festivals. Since 2002, the nine-day multi-dimensional festival is held annually in downtown Rochester, NY, drawing 200,000-plus people to 300+ shows and 18 venues.
