Saxophonist Rob Scheps( Gil Evans Band, Al Grey, George Russell,Joey Calderazzo) will tour bring the KC based version of his Core-tet to:
Kansas City, MO on Thurs, October 6 th ; and Lincoln, Nebraska on Saturday Oct. 8th
in KC : The Blue Room at American Jazz Museum ; 7-11 pm in Lincoln: Cafe de Mai ; 8 - 11 pm
Scheps' band includes longtime collaborator Roger Wilder( their association dates from 1981) former Thad Jones/Mel Lewis Band bassist Bob Bowman; and ne w drummer Tim Cambron.
Both shows will be all ages.
