Rivertown Jazz & Arts Festival set for today in historic Conway, SC

The 20th annual Rivertown Jazz & Arts Festival (formerly Rivertown Jazz and Blues Festival) kicks off with a day of music, art, children's activities and food from 11 a.m.-midnight today in the historic district of Conway.

National talent headlining this year's festival includes John Scofield Trio, the Adande Drum & Dance Company and blues artist Ray Bonneville. The festival also shows off local talent with Arlin Strader Trio, Slip Stream and Painted Man. Visitors can also expect the Live Oak Arts Show on Main Street, the Children and the Arts Pavilion, and food from local restaurants.

Music schedule

Community Stage (at the corner of Fourth Avenue and Laurel Street): 11 a.m.-noon, Arlin Strader Trio; 12:30-2 p.m., Slip Stream; 3-4:30 p.m. Painted Man.

Main Stage (in front of City Hall): 5-6:30 p.m., Ray Bonneville; 7-8;30 p.m., Adande Drum & Dance Company; 9-11 p.m., the John Scofield Trio.
