With this album, Bogart re-recorded American Concerto for Clarinet and Orchestra which won the American Prize, as a tribute to Americas contribution to the arts. The inspiration was to take Jazz phrases that were handed down from the early days of New Orleans that were never written down and incorporated these parts in Clarinet & Orchestra paying tribute to the great Sidney Bechet, Johnny Dodds, Jimmy Noone, Hubert Hall, Edmond Hall and Irving Fazol. These musicians contributed significantly to the evolution of jazz and and the remembered for their unique styles and performances.
