Dune Music
Dune Music artists Rhythmica release their debut album in digital format on September 27 2010, with CD release set to follow in February 2011.

Rhythmica are: Zem Audu—saxophones, Mark Crown—trumpet, Peter Edwards—piano, Pete Randall—double bass and Andy Chapman—drums

There's a sense of destiny about Rhythmica. This is a brand new group from the same Tomorrow's Warriors development programme that has already produced some of the UK's most talked-about jazz groups including Empirical, Nu Troop, J-Life, Jade Fox and Zed-U, not to mention great artists like Denys Baptiste, Byron Wallen, Jason Yarde, Soweto Kinch and Robert Mitchell.

Rhythmica are a fresh, eclectic and exciting new force on the UK jazz scene, bringing together five diverse yet complementary jazz musicians to create something progressive yet accessible, challenging yet ultimately satisfying. Although a new band, their sound has developed through their formative years at the core of Tomorrow's Warriors, and they play with a cohesiveness and maturity normally associated with much older, wiser heads.

Recording their debut album, Rhythmica under the watchful eye of their mentor and respected artist/producer, Gary Crosby OBE, they succeed in demonstrating the rhythmic complexity and harmonic ingenuity of the group. This is beautifully captured in the studio by award-winning engineer/producer, Tony Platt. The album features six original compositions and wonderful new arrangements of Joe Harriott's 'Parallel' and Herbie Hancock's 'The Sorcerer.'

'This is a wonderful band, here and now, with an equal grasp on a repertoire of jazz standards and accessible original music' —Brian Blane/Lauderdale House

'Rhythmica are creative and mature young artists with the potential to become one of the finest jazz groups developed in this country.' —Gary Crosby OBE
