He performs on various flutes, soprano, alto and tenor saxophones, Akai EWI and Yamaha WX7 wind synthesizers, and lap steel guitar, and has worked with everyone from Carlos Santana, Whitney Houston, Herbie Hancock, John McLaughlin, Ravi Shankar, Narada Michael Walden, Clarence Clemons, Jackson Browne, Jean-Luc Ponty, Lonnie Liston-Smith, Sting, Billy Joel, and James Taylor. During his 2008 schedule, he played at Sting’s Rainforest Concert at Carnegie Hall and toured with Russian legend Boris Grebenshikov beginning in London at the Royal Albert Hall and continuing on to Dublin, Kiev, Milan, Moscow, St. Petersburg, and ending the year in Vienna. Premik is a longstanding member of Carman Moore's Skymusic Ensemble, performing Moore’s epic work Mass for the 21st Century as part of Lincoln Center’s Out-Of-Doors concert series. Premik will soon be featured in Moore's latest work, Concerto for Saxophone and Orchestra, which in its world premier will also feature Ornette Coleman as guest soloist. He is scheduled to play the Narada Michael Walden Foundation’s Let the Sunshine In concert later this month. The style of his music is best described as jazz with world/global flavor and a touch of classical somehow melted in.

Premik will be playing with his good friend, talented composer/pianist, R. Eric Johnson. With 35 years in the business, Eric’s work extends to film and TV credits (documentaries for PBS and HBO). He has been a member of ASCAP since 1978 and is listed in Who’s Who of American Composers. Adding to the high bar set by Eric and Premik will be talented, eclectic percussionist (drummer, teacher, author) Todd Isler. On bass will be fantastic Carlo De Rosa who has worked with a long list of great artist in the Latin America and jazz worlds (including YoYo Ma & Friends).
