Danish trumpet player and composer Poul Weis has put together a group with some of the most exciting young jazz players in New York to play his new compositions. Influenced by Jazz, European Classic al music - and whatever comes to him from all corners of the world - and inspired by the metropolis of New York, the mountains and the ocean, Poul Weis writes appealing grooves, powerful, yet lyrical, melodies and intriguing harmonies. Poul has resided in Brooklyn since 2000 and has for the last two years curated the music program at Cornelia Street Caf in the West Village.
