FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: October 14, 2005
November is Piano Month at The Blue Bar
(New York, New York)- Join us at the Blue Bar inside of Bayard’s Restaurant on Wednesdays and Thursdays for a sampling of New York’s Best in Live Entertainment. Each night will begin at 8pm with complimentary hors d’oeurves until 10pm and entertainment running until 11pm.
Wednesday nights enjoy show tunes and piano classics with celebrated East side pianist Rick McDonald. Maestro of both sing-along and saloon playing from the Monkey Bar and Bills to Gracie Mansion, Rick has been with Bayard’s since 2004.
Thursday Nights enjoy jazz and R&B with recording artist Tiffany Deriveau and accompanist Benjamin Healy on the piano. An accomplished singer and performer, Tiffany has opened for Gladys Knight and recently released her own CD. Healy carries a degree from the New School University in Jazz Piano Performance, as well as twenty years of piano study.
Owner Peter Poulakakos is excited to sponsor the talent and style of downtown New York. “What better way for our downtown friends and neighbors of all ages to meet during the winter months and holidays than around a Steinway Grand?”
The Blue Bar offers both traditional cocktails and an award winning wine list. Set in the historically land marked India House Building, The Blue Bar has both lounge and bar seating available.
For more information or to reserve limited bar seating, call 212.514.9454.
