The OC Pavilion (http://www.ocpavilion.com) is pleased to welcome Jennifer Hart and Llew Matthews as HART & SOUL to the main stage on September 29, 2007. The doors to the OC Pavilion and Ambrosia Restaurant open at 5:00 PM and the concert begins at 8:00 PM.

The evening's performance features legendary jazz pianist and arranger Llew Matthews, and gifted jazz vocalist Jennifer Hart.

Llew Mathews has been the Music Director for vocalist Nancy Wilson since 1987 and arranged and accompanied her on many selections on her 2 latest Grammy Award-Winning CD's “R.S.V.P. in 2005 and “Turned to Blue" in 2006. In 1976 Llew was the Chief Arranger for the Armed Forces Bicentennial Symphonic Band & Chorus and has arranged and performed music for the Chicago Symphony, Boston Symphony and the Philadelphia Symphony Orchestra. . He has also performed worldwide in many Jazz Festivals, Concerts and Clubs with Stanley Turrentine, Kenny Burrell, Lena Horne, Percy Mayfield, Hubert Laws, Kevin Eubanks, Dizzy Gilespie, James Moody, Buddy Collette, Jackie McLean, and Ron Eschete. Matthews performs regularly with Jennifer Hart in venues around Southern California.

Jennifer Hart's bluesy voice combines the luster of Billie Holiday and the mellowness of Sarah Vaughan. Jennifer sings phonetically in eight languages and has appeared in Piano Lounges worldwide from Stockholm to Singapore. She performed many concerts and recording dates with the late bassist, Red Mitchel and pianist Jan Strinholm in Sweden. Jennifer has appeared as guest vocal soloist with the Cypress Pops Orchestra, the Capistrano Valley Symphony, and is currently the featured vocalist with the Frank Amoss Orchestra, Arlene and the Guys Big Band, Slide FX Band and Jazz Lite Octet. Radio station KLAC designated her as a “FABULOUS FIND" in June 2004.

“Here you have a singer who knows the most about how to use a skilled voice. She has, in fact, a degree in music... and is skilled in the classic opera repertoire. In Jennifer Hart's case, this is no hindrance to singing jazz and blues. The voice is clear with a very pleasant luster which is also capable of strong singing ... when she sang the ballad 'Cry Me A River', the feelings took over ... and Jennifer Hart succeeded to create a feeling that chilled the spines of the audience." (Nils Baer, VaternorrIands Allahanda, Sweden)

A 9 piece ensemble, will accompany HART & SOUL, playing arrangements by Mr. Matthews, featuring the following well-known, local jazz musicians: Luther Hughes - Bass
Ralph Penland - Drums
Jeff Jarvis - trumpet
John Bradley - trumpet
Dave Woodley - trombone
Colin Wenhardt - saxophone
Gary Gould - saxophone and penny whistle

The OC Pavilion is home to an intimate 529 person capacity theatre and the 5-star, world class restaurant Ambrosia. The basement level of the OC Pavilion houses The Vault VIP Lounge, formerly a bank vault. Immediately following the performance, guests are invited down to The Vault VIP Lounge to meet the performers and enjoy imported beers, fine wines, premium cocktails and desserts.
