Making her Japan debut Daryl Sherman-singer,pianist, internationally heralded recording artist performs nightly at Tableaux Lounge in Tokyo until February 27. Located in chic Daikanyama area, the late night haven presents jazz Monday through Saturday from 8:30 pm -12. Joining her on this special stint is Koji Tetsui, bass and Paul Florea, violin. A Manhattan mainstay, Daryl Sherman has been a regular at the Waldorf Astoria, Algonquin, Dizzy's Coca Cola, countless concert series, tours annually and conducts workshop/master classes. Often compared to Blossom Dearie, Daryl Sherman is known for her infectious swing, light expressive voice and distinctive repertoire. Her most recent CDs have won “Best of Year" acclaim and are in regular rotation on Sirius XM Radio and Cable TV Music Choice. She has frequently guested and hosted on Marian McPartland's Piano Jazz broadcast on National Public Radio.
