Photographer Steven Forster swept the Fashion Photography category for both published and non-published work at the annual Alpha Awards 2004 presented by the Fashion Group International of New Orleans September 12, 2004 at the Audubon Tea Room in New Orleans.
It was a shut out for Forster who won over all other published and non-published fashion photographers from the states of Louisiana, Mississippi, Arkansas, Alabama and the Florida Panhandle. One of Forster's fashion photography awards was for a photograph of Troy “Trombone Shorty" Andrews. The Fashion Group International was founded in 1930 and the New Orleans Chapter was founded in 1948.
