A groundbreaking musical event is taking place on 17th November 2005 at London’s legendary 333 Club, to raise money for the victims of the Hurricane Katrina disaster. ENSEMBLE is a unique collaborative project showcasing some of world’s leading Jazz Musicians, DJs from Drum N’ Bass (A.I, Storm), Breaks (Paul Arnold), and beyond. All the proceeds from this event will go to the Red Cross, who are providing essential relief aid to the thousands of people who are now homeless as a result of the disaster.

Many artists involved in Drum n’ Bass and Breaks have a strong passion for Jazz. The scene’s DJs/ Producers immediately wanted to help make the event special, and raise as much money as possible for the disaster that devastated the spiritual home of Jazz. The 606 Jazz Club, have been particularly supportive to the ENSEMBLE manifesto - their enthusiasm, and support allowed us to lay the foundations of a tremendous Jazz line up. In the true spirit of Jazz, there will be no musical boundaries at this event; so all the DJs will be encouraged to play something different or experimental if they so wish. We are also pleased to announce that ENSEMBLE is now part of The London Jazz Festival.

The live acts will perform in the basement (capacity 250-300) until around 1.30am, where there will be seating in front of stage, and space for standing. The main room holds around 300 where the Drum n’ Bass community will be displaying their many talents. ENSEMBLE begins in Room 3 with the screening of Talking Headz - a documentary made by leading UK Drum n’ Bass label Metalheadz, followed by Chew the Fat! DJs.

Many of the artists involved on the night, those who can’t make it, and many companies have generously donated fantastic Music related prizes for a draw that will take place on the night. Prizes include Native Instruments Music software from Arbiter. 2 pairs of custom ER15 earplugs (£164.50 per set), and 10 pairs of ER20’s from ACRS. CDs from Tru Thoughts Recordings & Zebra Traffic, Future Thinkin promos and membership.
