MusicTank Closes Suddenly

MusicTank has closed after 15 years of providing music industry data and analysis. The sudden closure appears to have come after funding ran out and was announced on Twitter and the organization's web site.

“After 15+ incredible years, with profound sadness I am sorry to announce that MusicTank is closing," wrote Jonathan Robinson, Programme Director, MusicTank. “This closure is with immediate effect and its website will no longer be updated, but remain for archive purposes."

The UK based think tank has served as a valuable resource during a period of upheaval and transition from physical to digital and eventually streaming.
