The whole world is shocked and amazed by the disastrous tragedy that has struck the people of the Gulf Coast. As musicians especially, our hearts go out to the people of New Orleans--so much of what we do and what we are we owe to the people and culture of New Orleans. Los Mas Valientes, The Canal Street Jazz Band and The Cajun restaurant have gathered together with other fabulous musicians and band leaders to host a marathon jam session to benefit the victims of Hurricane Katrina. Details are below, and 100% of the proceeds will go to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund. Won't you please join us--musicians, bring your horns and your axes!--and also spread the word by forwarding this email to all your friends? See you there!
