Music Events at Central Coast
Henry Kendall Cottage/Museum will be a welcoming venue for members and guests of the Central Coast Jazz league Club, and the public on 9th April 2005 between 12 noon and 3 pm.
A Band for All Occasions will be providing their popular “hot club” trio, Viva to perform there. Viva the trio are the core musicians of Viva the band, they began performing at Jazz Festivals in 2002, both as a trio and a sextet showband, gaining many successes at a number of festivals including: Newcastle Jazz Festival, Morpeth Jazz Festival, Manly Jazz Festival, Gold Coast Jazz and Blues Festival, Thredbo Jazz Festival, Kiama Jazz Festival and Illawarra Jazz Festival. The trio also regularly perform for a host of Sydney venues including: Sydney Olympic Park music Events, Darling Harbour Venues, Historic Houses Trust, and the Sydney Maritime Museum
The Instrumentation and style of “hot club” Jazz performed by the trio create a distinctive French nightclub ambiance, skillfully blending a mix of Swing, Jazz, Latin, Salsa, Spanish and Gypsy tunes with: Marie Rappolt (accordion and bass) providing the melodies supported by Peter Rappolt (Spanish Guitar) and Morris David performing Stephane Grappelli style solos on Jazz Violin.
More information about Viva can be found on their web site www.aband.info (broadband) or www.musicians.net.au (dial up)
