Multi-reedist Anat Cohen performs at Jazz Gallery on November 12, 2004

Anat Cohen will be returning to The Jazz Gallery this evening with her quartet featuring: Gilad Hekselman - guitar, Rueben Rogers - bass and Greg Hutchinson - drums. The evening promises to be full of musical inventiveness and exploration of original music, standards and world music.



Tel Aviv-born multi-reedist (Saxophones, Clarinet, Flute) Anat Cohen has made quite a name for herself since her arrival in the U.S. to pursue her musical studies at Berklee in the mid '90's. Recently acknowledged in the DownBeat Reader's Poll as one of the readers' favorite clarinetists, Anat's highly anticipated album, “Place and Time" is due for release in early 2005. In addition to her extraordinary instrumental abilities on soprano and tenor saxophones, clarinet and flute, she displays a natural ability to absorb, process, and uniquely interpret a culturally diverse variety of music.
