Moxie, the Gals from the Manhattan Transfer

The Kaufman Center presents Moxie: The Gals from the Manhattan Transfer on Wednesday, February 9, at 8 PM at Merkin Concert Hall. The trio, made up of active Manhattan Transfer members Janis Siegel and Cheryl Bentyne and founding member (with Siegel) Laurel Massé, will perform some songs from the 1930s Boswell Sisters’ catalog, works from each singer’s solo career, and a few pieces from Massé’s time with The Manhattan Transfer that have since been retired from that group’s repertoire. In their inaugural tour in 2001, Moxie was dubbed “as fresh and dramatic as anything they’ve ever done with the Transfer, with the added pizzazz of sister-act harmonies
