Mos Def has announced the release of his highly-anticipated new album, The Ecstatic (Downtown Records) on June 9.
Several new tracks from The Ecstatic, including “Life In Marvelous Times" and “Quiet Dog Bite Hard" can be heard now via Mos Def's MySpace page. These debut tracks are also available now via download on RCRD LBL and on iTunes.
The album's release coincides with the 10 year anniversary of his seminal debut album, Black on Both Sides. Mos will be announcing more details on The Ecstatic and upcoming U.S. tour in the coming weeks.
