Memorial for Late Organist, Bobby Forrester

On Sunday, November 23rd, 2003 the Cold Spring Harbor Arts Center and Jazz Vocalist Ernie Byrd hosted a memorial for the late great jazz organist, BOBBY FORRESTER. It was Long Island's tribute to a great organist who played for such great vocalists as Ruth Brown, Irene Reed, and others. Bobby was known for his blues and swinging style. William Easily on saxaphone, Hank Johnson, on piano, Drummer “Tootsie Bean", bassist Norko from Japan, Billy “C", and Ernie Byrd perfomed on stage for the event which was packed. Bobby Forrester was a great organist who will be remembered by many people.
