Paul McCartney has inked a deal with Concord Music Group that will bring his solo catalog and recordings with Wings to the company for physical and digital distribution.

The ex-Beatle's relationship with Beverly Hills-based Concord dates back to 2007, when the company partnered with Starbucks in Hear Music and launched the imprint with McCartney's studio album “Memory Almost Full." Concord released the live CD/DVD package “Good Evening New York City" last year.

McCartney's solo catalog had most recently been licensed for distribution by EMI, though his contract for new music with the label ended in 2007. Given EMI's uncertain future, it's no surprise that McCartney moved to find another home for the lucrative Wings albums and other post-Beatles releases.

Concord's reissue campaign will begin in August with the re-release of the quadruple-platinum 1973 Wings album “Band On the Run." Configurations will include a multi-disc collector's edition with enhanced packaging and bonus content.

Pact with McCartney's company MPL encompasses more than 30 albums, originally released on Apple, Capitol and Columbia. Artist claims worldwide sales of 700 million albums and 100 million singles.

Agreement brings a remarkable shelf of bestselling albums, dating back to the beginning of McCartney's solo career in 1970, to Concord. Solo titles include the debut set “McCartney," “Ram" and such well-regarded later releases as “Tug of War," “Pipes of Peace," “Flowers in the Dirt" and “Flaming Pie."

Wings titles include a host of No. 1 albums from the '70s: “Red Rose Speedway," “Band On the Run," “Venus and Mars," “Wings at the Speed of Sound" and the live “Wings Over America." Deal also covers albums cut under the pseudonyms Percy “Thrills" Thrillington, the Fireman and Twin Freaks.
