Lampkin Music Group is proud to announce that his client, jazz singer Martha Lorin, will be the recipient of the Milford Music Maker Awards at the Milford Music Festival on Saturday, June 6, 2009. The award is for Martha's work with the yearly festival; for having the insight to broaden the festival to include all genres of music which has definitely kept the Festival alive and moving forward.

This yearly event has become a great service to the Milford, Pennsylvania community where Martha resides, according to a statement made by the Board of Directors.

Currently, Martha and I are in pre-production mode for our Christmas recording, which will be released in October, 2009. This collection will feature classics and newly written songs from the pen of the gifted lyrist/songwriter, Martha Lorin. This collection will be recorded live with a quartet setting. Look for more performances in NY this coming fall with a special Christmas to be announced soon.

Latest critical praise for the current CD Don't Slam That Door.

“Coney Island" sends you on a nostalgic trip, with it's brilliant cinematic performance, is the highlight of the album. Several re-fashioned standards, like the steamy and seductive R&B swing take on “Best is Yet To Come" and the elegant reading of “You've Changed" sit well next to the original material on this record." --Jazz Improv Magazine
