Featuring an in-studio performance by Mad Romance South Florida's premiere Jazz vocal group, Mad Romance, has taken Miami, Fort Lauderdale and the Palm Beaches by storm. Comprised of veteran Jazz educators and performers, Rick Harris, Wendy Pedersen, Lisanne Lyons and Greg Diaz, the group swings the great American songbook. Classic American standards by Gershwin, Berlin, Cole Porter and others are re-arranged anew by these highly talented performers/arrangers/composers. With their outstanding rhythm section featuring Jim Gasior on piano, Jamie Ousley on bass and Rodolfo Zuniga on drums, the group performs a dizzying diversity of styles from mainstream Jazz, 1950's Mambo, lush ballads, Cha-Cha, to 1930's madcap Swing, Bebop, a cappella, Bossa Nova and a few off the beaten track tunes from the 60's and 70's. Superb, four-part, Jazz vocal harmony has found an expressive home with these creative, highly talented performers.

You can find pix and more info at MadRomance.com.

The performance is co-sponsored by POLLO TROPICAL. Tune in worldwide at 1:00pm Eastern on our website at WWW.WLRN.Org.

Hope you'll listen to this superb Jazz vocal group. Please let us know if you enjoyed the broadcast.
