The Litchfield Jazz Festival announces the opening of registration for its summer institutes, The Litchfield Jazz Festival Summer Music Schooland Greenhouse the new Litchfield Jazz Festival Summer Dance Institute at The Forman School in Litchfield, CT. The Music School, runs form July 20-August 1, and its star studded faculty includes artistic director Don Braden, Jimmy Greene, Steve Wilson, Clair Daly, Jane Bunnett, pianists Ted Rosenthal, Dave Beckman, Xavier Davis, Dena DeRose, drummers Matt Wilson, Cecil Brooks III, trumpeters Ray Vega, Brian Lynch, Joe Magnarelli, vocalist Marion Cowings and many others.
Greenhouse will be headed up by choreographer Earl Mosley. Earl and his team of top-flight dancers will offer ballet, tap, modern, hip-hop and African dance to students of all ages from July 8 through August 1. Collectively, the faculty has past and present affiliations with The Ailey School, Ballet Hispanico, Donald Byrd, Sadlers Wells, and more. M
