Venezuelan percussionist/vocalist Leonardo Granados and pianist Edward Simon have recently launched the “Bolero” project on ArtistShare and together along with a stellar group of musicians, are embarking on what is sure to be a very exciting. Edward grew up playing boleros, accompanying Leonardo when they were both young. It's a music that's near and dear to both musicians and they envision this project as a gift or form of payback to two very special people in their lives; Edward's father and Leonardo's mother. The project is sure to attract bolero lovers of all ages, as well as those listeners who are attracted to the jazz aesthetic, as the musicians hope to successfully marry these two musical styles into a satisfying whole.

A vocal interactive will allow participants to actively involve themselves in this project. The musicians will provide the music, as well as the lyrics for the participants to sing. For the high-level participants, the recorded boleros may be individually dedicated to them as a thank you for helping fund the project.

Listen to “Como Fue” and join the “Bolero” project!
