BOULDER, CO (July 26, 2001) -- THREE SETS VOLUME 3 is the newest installment of the acclaimed THREE SETS series on Lauan Records (LEW-On), “The Jamband Label."

For THREE SETS VOLUME 3, Lauan has again assembled sets of three rapidly rising presences on the jamband front: MIRACLE ORCHESTRA from Boston, RAY'S MUSIC EXCHANGE from Cincinnati and THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS, out of Seattle. National release is set for Oct. 30, 2001.

MIRACLE ORCHESTRA features Geoff Scott's guitar and Jared Sims' saxes and electronics powering the band's high horsepower engine. Bassist Garrett Sayers and drummer Bill Carbone complete the four-piece unit.

The exceptionally diverse seven-player RAY'S MUSIC EXCHANGE spotlights Michael Mavridoslou on trumpet, Brad Myers and Joe McLean on guitar and the multi-layered percussion of Nick Mavridoslou (Michael's brother), Jason Smart and Matthew Hawkins, while bassist Nick Blasky provides the all-important driving bottom.

THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS -- Jessica Lurie on sax, Arne Livingston on bass and Dale Fanning on drums -- is especially excited about appearing here.Together, they unveil a new direction and line-up as they add special guests THE FLAVA CRYSTALS, keyboardist Reggie Watts and conga whiz Elizabeth Pupo Walker, who open whole new avenues of interplay. Watts provides THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS' first taste of vocals.

In THREE SETS tradition, all three sets were captured in live concert performance from recent appearances. Catching them live is the very best way to taste both the bands' unique styles and their hot-blooded audiences reactions. Playing live adds that indefinable something that makes all three bands blossom to the fullest. And with a 72:14 running time, THREE SETS VOLUME 3 delivers the goods and then some!

The THREE SETS series seeks to pool the audiences of each of the three bands on every volume. The idea is that fans of one are already tuned to give the other two bands a friendly ear. Each band gets to plant seeds to grow support outside their home territories. And each gets the chance to grow a bit further toward national recognition

Lauan Records is dedicated to building a community for the burgeoning jamband scene. Founded to chronicle the creative efforts of jambands across the United States, Lauan Records is not just another record label. It is for and by fans, providing them with a network to discover new bands and new shows, unifying what has traditionally been an extremely regional scene. Many have described Lauan not as a record label, but more as an artist community.
