But new deals with the major labels require monetization and recent filings point to a company bleeding cash at alarming rate. Now an experienced digital executive has been hired to sort out the mess.

Music streaming service SoundCloud is pushing forward with its monetization plans and has announced that digital veteran Allison Moore has joined the company as Chief Revenue Officer.  She will be based out of the company's New York offices.

Moore joins SoundCloud from NBCUniversal, where she most recently served as General Manager for its video streaming service TV Everywhere. Prior to that, she held top spots at HBO and Cablevision.

“Alison is an innovative and strategic leader with a proven track record of building consumer business strategies that drive new revenue growth across multiple platforms.
