On Tuesday April 5th, Keys 4 Kids will provide Chicago Elementary School Jensen Academy with nearly $5000 worth of Musical Instruments, including a full drum line, trumpets, trombones, clarinets, and flutes. Keys 4 Kids is a Chicago based non-profit organization that aims to transform music education in Chicago by providing music educators with the tools and support needed to teach and inspire students. The funds to purchase instruments and materials are raised by hosting and co-promoting a series of music related events in the Chicagoland area.
Thus far, Jensen Academy has had to work with rented instruments that very few students can afford. Now, they will have the opportunity to experience the joy of performing music at a young age without worrying about the high cost of instrument rental.
