In December 2005, the French newspaper Le Monde praised Ken Berman, a sensation in Paris, as “precise and inventive," and the “talk of the town in the clubs of the European capital of jazz," and hailed Ken as a “fluid and erudite" composer and performer whose “complex improvisations are imbued with delicate sensuality and brilliance." His latest compositions have been the subject of a recent in-depth feature on WKZSU at Stanford University, where he was compared with Keith Jarrett and Horace Silver.
