July Jazz at Charlie O's

Come to Charlie O's for a birthday celebration for our own John Heard on the 3rd, a birthday celebration for Tom Ranier on the 13th, Sax Liberation Day with the Saxtet on the 29th.

Listen to some Latin Jazz with the Jimmy Branly Quartet on the 28th, enjoy the Pinky Winters Quartet on the 22nd and there are also lots of great trios, quartets and quintets with new guests and old favorites this July.

Friday and Saturday performances this month with the John Heard Trio (John, Roy McCurdy, Paul Kreibich, Andy Langham, Theo Saunders)
Include:
A special John Heard Trio (John, Andy, Paul) on the 2nd.
John's birthday celebration on the 3rd with special guest Rickey Woodard.

The one and only Julie Kelly on the 9th
(a special guest from New York has promised to stop by and sit in with the band this night).
The amazing Thom Rotella on the 10th.
Vibe Summit XVII honoree Onaji Murray on the 16th.
The beautiful and talented Anna MJoll on the 17th.
Outstanding Scotty Barnhart (of the Count Basie Band) on the 23rd.
Brilliant Chuck Manning on the 24th.
The great Janis Mann on the 29th
Legendary Don Menza on the 30th.
Reservations recommended for all of these weekend performances.

Monday performances begin with:
The return of the amazing Theo Saunders Quartet on the 12th, our own Andy Langham brings his trio in on the 19th, and the Jim Cox Trio (Jim, John Ferraro, Domenic Genova) favors us with a return on the 26th.

We are closed on the 5th in honor of our Nation's Independence Day--we at Charlie O's hope all of you enjoy this wonderful day, be safe.

Our Tuesday performances include:
The Kate Reid Trio on the 6th
Tom Ranier's birthday celebration with Chuck Berghofer's Midnight Jazz Band on the 13th.
The great Emil Richards Joe Porcaro Quartet featuring Abe Laboriel and Mike Lang on the 20th.
Tish Oney making a rare L.A. performance returns with the Roy McCurdy Trio (Roy, John Chiodini, Chris Conner) on the 27th.
Reservations are recommended for these performances.

The Wednesday line up:
Begins with the very popular David Eastlee Quartet on the 7th, L.A.'s own Bob Sheppard returns on the 14th with his quartet, the Tony Inzalaco Quintet (Tony, Benn Clatworthy, Nolan Shaheed, Chris Colangelo, Theo Saunders) returns on the 21st.

Latin Jazz with the Jimmy Branly Quartet on the 28th
(Jimmy is an outstanding drummer and his group will perform great Latin jazz).
Reservations suggested.

Our Thursday performances include:
The Tyler Blandon Quartet featuring Bob Sheppard on the 1st, the cle Thompson Quartet on the 8th, the amazing Pinky Winters Quartet on the 22nd, and celebrating Sax Liberation Day on the 29th with the Saxtet (David Angel, Bob Carr, Gene Cipriano, Phil Feather, Roger Neumann, Tom Peterson, Dave Koonse Kendall Kay and John Smith).
Please note we are still waiting for confirmation for the 15th. Reservations are recommended for all of these performances but especially for the 22nd and the 29th.

We are closed on Sundays. (Get Over it)
