Cellist-composer Tomas Ulrich received music degrees from Boston University and the Manhattan School of Music. Mr. Ulrich has performed with such artists as Anthony Davis, Joe Lovano, Gerry Hemingway, Derek Bailey, Anthony Braxton, Simon Shaheen, Herb Robertson, Dominic Duval, Joe McPhee, Ben Allison, Kevin Norton, Ted Nash, Uri Caine and Dave Douglas. He is also a member of the Diller-Quaile String Quartet which premiered his Quintet for Trumpet and Strings (featuring guest soloist Herb Robertson) in May of 1996. JAZZ NOW has characterized Mr. Ulrich as “the total package...incredible chops, great imagination and superb pitch. He fulfills the roles of bassist, guitarist and additional horn player and is endlessly talented and creative." Mr. Ulrich has written music for theater, film and instrumental performance and has concertized in Europe, Japan, South America, Canada and throughout the United States. His performances can be heard on over 30 CDs in a wide range of musical settings and styles.
Briggan Krauss attended Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle, Washington where he received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in music performance in 1992. In 1994 Briggan moved to Brooklyn, New York where he still lives today. Briggan has performed and recorded with musicians such as John Zorn, Wayne Horvitz, Bill Frisell, Eyvind Kang, Robin Holcomb, Anthony Coleman, Steven Bernstein's “Sex Mob", Madeski Martin and Wood, Bobby Previte, Jim Black, Hal Willner, Joey Baron, the New York Composers Orchestra and many others. Briggan has made three records as a leader on Knitting Factory Records and has appeared on over thirty other records as a sideman. He has been reviewed and interviewed in jazz and new music publications in the United States, Europe and Japan.

Arnal frequently performs and collaborates with a wide range of musicians and choreographers in the U.S. and Europe. He studied music at Bennington College receiving an MFA in 2000. A native of Georgia, Arnal moved to Baltimore in 1991 to attend the Peabody Conservatory, and later study composition with Stuart Saunders Smith. Recent performances include Ausland, deSingel, German Nordwestradio, Music at the Anthology, Musikerinitiative Bremen and Roulette. He can be heard on a number of independent record labels; upcoming releases include Transit on Clean Feed, duet with Michael Evans on C3R and Tripwire on Creative Sources. He is a co-Founder and Artistic Director of the Improvised and Otherwise Festival and curates On the Way Out, a monthly new music series in Brooklyn, NY.
