John Kordalewski Jazz Trio at Milton Public Library on Saturday, May 14

Jazz pianist John Kordalewski, bassist John Lockwood and vocalist Diane Richardson perform at the Milton Public Library this Saturday, May 14, 2011, at 2:00 p.m.

The free concert is sponsored by the Friends of the Milton Public Library.

Kordalewski, a Milton resident, leads the jazz group The Makanda Project and teaches at Bunker Hill Community College. Richardson teaches at Berklee College of Music, and her recent album “Portrait," is devoted to the music of Charles Mingus. Lockwood, who teaches at Berklee and the New England Conservatory, is a veteran jazz bassist who has toured with Gary Burton, Stan Getz, Dizzy Gillespie, and Pat Metheny.
