Jazzmix Fesitival Documents Emerging New York Artists

Shot in and around well-known New York City jazz haunts, the film will concentrate on eight musicians: Val-Inc, Ambrose Akinmusire, Jason Lindner, Chris Dave, Jaleel Shaw, Theo Bleckman, Vijay Iyer and Nasheet Waits. The project will capture eight live jazz concerts in eight different clubs, showcasing the inventiveness of the New York music scene for eight different 26-minute films for Mezzo TV.

The teams objective for the festival in this series is to capture the artists when they're still approachable, in New York clubs where theyve always been playing, in the firmament of their art.
