JG Productions is pleased to announce that this Saturday, April 26th at 8:30pm Jazz Vocalist Michelle Walker willing be performing an intimate show at New York City's CHEZ SUZETTE (675B 9TH AVE. in Midtown). Michelle's debut CD release “Slow Down" was nominated for both 2002 Best Independant Jazz Vocal recording and Best Debut Album of the year by the Washington Area Music Association.

Mike Joyce music critic for the Washington Post says that Michelle has “...a captivating and soul-comforting voice..." and Dave Nathan, music critic for AllAboutJazz.com remarked that “Walker possesses a set of strong vocal chords...[and]...demonstrates an extraordinary degree of musicality as she adds subtle alterations to melody lines, going up when one expects her to go down and other ear catching devices."

Her usual musical companions Dave Cosby (Guitar) and Marc Blackwood (Bass) will complete the trio. In addition to making the rare trip to NYC, she can be seen regularly at some of DC's local jazz venues. Although her recording captures her seductive charm, it pales in comparison to her live performances.

Come see her first at CHEZ SUZETTE (675B 9TH AVE. in Midtown) on Saturday, April 26, 2003 first set at 8:30pm.

You can hear some clips and to get more information at Michelle's Web Site.

Michelle's CD is available at Amazon.com and CDBaby.com.
