Pianist Gilly Coggins died today in a New York hospital. He suffered serious injury and complications associated with the car accident he had in the Spring of 2003, where he crashed his car and injured a lady seriously. Kidney failure, and a general decline , were factors in his death. He played with Miles Davis in 1950's. -30-
