Although playing most gigs as Piano Trio she'll also perform some solo piano pieces as reminiscence to the International Jazz Solo Piano Festival played at the same time in 2009.
In addition she presents the “Best of" CD of that festival that just has been released. Ayako Shirasaki appears with 3 tracks on this disc that “institutes a high standard for international solo jazz piano" as Howard Mandel, president of the Jazz Journalists Association puts it.
