Jazz pianist Hank Johnson will celebrate his 55th Birthday at Cleopatra's Needle on Wednesday, July 14th, 2004 at 8:00 P.M. until 12:00 Midnight! The Hank Johnson Trio will perform live at Cleopatra's Needle. Hank is accompianied by “Cool Mike" Fitzbenjamin, on bass and great drummer Gary Smith. The trio has been together for 25 years and continues to get better and better never compromising the music and always maintaining high standards. Born Stuart H. Tresser, on July 14th, 1949 (Bastille Day) in the Bushwich section of Brooklyn, New York to David and Ilse Tresser. Started playing the piano at 3 years old and did first professional gig at Sasso's Bar (long gone). Also had the first interracial jazz trio that won Wingate High School talent show in 1968. -30-
