On the heels of their recently released CD, “Speak Your Truth," the newly re-formed and energized Perry Conticchio Quartet display the band's mastery of jazz improvisation.

High-energy solos open the doors to complete freedom of expression and punctuate the new quartet's tight musical interaction. The ensemble has taken off with fresh interpretations of the masters such as Miles, Monk & Coltrane, as well as contemporary composers Pat Metheney, Sam Rivers, Wayne Shorter and others.

Perry's own compositions further reveal the group's capacity for sensitive expression. Perry leads the new quartet in producing an exceptional level of jazz consciousness. From the intimate lounge to the concert stage, a wholly satisfying listening experience is created.

Perry has been garnering reviews nationally for his ability to convey the jazz language in its highest form.

Dan McClenaghan, All about Jazz Conticchio displays great chops and a tone that is tart and robust, with clean, sharp articulation; and like Dexter before him, he blows the hell out of the horn, with an engaging chip on the shoulder (with a grin) attitude.

David Wilson, Wilson & Alroy Record Reviews “A ton of tenor sax players approximate John Coltrane's tone, but very few come anywhere near his forcefulness and clarity of purpose. Perry Conticchio does, furiously spewing notes on mind-expanding uptempo tunes.”
